Google Files Go app now available publicly on the Play Store
The Google Files Go app is now out of beta and available to everyone on
the Play Store.
Files Go is primarily a file manager app
designed with Go Edition devices in mind. Instead of showing your file
directory it instead has categories like images, videos, audio, documents,
apps, etc. The app also lets you send files to another Files Go user. It
creates a local hotspot, which it then uses to send the file over on Wi-Fi.
Depending upon your device, you can get some pretty fast transfer speeds
without ever using any data.
The app also gives suggestions on deleting
unused apps, duplicate files and, get this, low resolution videos and memes.
Lastly, there is also an option to upload
your files to your favorite cloud storage service.
