Image
Apple recently published a guide for downgrading from its iOS beta to a stable variant of its operating system. Taking to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 in Barcelona, Spain, Zopo unveiled its latest Speed 7C and Speed 8. While the Speed 7C is an unimpressive mid-ranger based on its specifications, the Speed 8 is shaping up as an intriguing powerhouse with notable specs and an affordable price tag.

WhatsApp Ending Support For Blackberry, Nokia, Windows Phone 7.1 And Older Android Versions

Image
WhatsApp is growing and revising its strategy, and some operating systems will no longer be part of its journey. By the end of the year, WhatsApp will ditch support for BlackBerry (including BB10 OS), Nokia S40, Nokia Symbian S60, Android 2.1 and 2.2, and Windows Phone 7.1. Newer versions of Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile will still enjoy WhatsApp support, although Android and iOS rule the mobile market.

BEST Deal: Nexus 5X 16GB for $269.99, lowest price ever

Image
The Nexus 5X didn’t quite get the showcase that it deserved on the world market. Although the Nexus 5 was much beloved by hardcore Android fans by putting incredible power in your hands for how much you paid for it, LG’s follow up, the also-affordable 5X, was overshadowed by the premium-design Huawei Nexus 6P, which released around the same time. This sucked for the 5X, but it rocks for you, because this very well-designed and relatively unappreciated smartphone’s price tag just keeps dropping. Now we’re seeing it for $269.99 on eBay, which is the lowest we’ve ever seen it.

Asus will send out Marshmallow updates in Q2, here's the full list of devices getting them

Image
Last November, Asus outed a list of devices that it would update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Unfortunately, no timeline for update rollouts was mentioned at that point. And here we are more than three months later, and Asus has yet to push the new software to any of its wares. The good news is that now we finally have a (very rough) timeline to speak of. Asus will send out Marshmallow updates during the second quarter of this year, so from April to June. The company has revised its list of devices getting the Marshmallow treat, adding three smartphones that weren't in the initial roster. These are the ZenFone Max ZC550KL , the ZenFone 2 Laser ZE551KL , and the ZenFone Zoom ZX551ML . They join the following devices which were already slated to receive the update: PadFone S PF500KL , ZenFone Selfie ZD551KL , ZenFone 2 ( ZE550ML and ZE551ML ), ZenFone 2 Deluxe ZE551ML , ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition ZE551ML, and ZenFone 2 Laser ( ZE500KG , ZE500KL , ZE550KL , Z

The highly anticipated Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are expecting to break last year’s initial number of Galaxy S6 units in the first three months following its announcement. T-Mobile Galaxy S7/S7 edge pre-orders shipping already

Image
While Samsung's newest flagships - the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge - are officially scheduled to go on sale starting March 11, looks like a few lucky people in the US will have their pre-orders delivered before that date. One of the country's "big four" carriers, T-Mobile, has already started shipping the pre-orders - many of those who pre-ordered the device(s) are getting their shipment notifications. Last year too, a few lucky ones got their T-Mobile Galaxy S6 pre-orders delivered before time. In case you missed, the South Korean company's mobile chief Koh Dong-jin recently revealed that the Galaxy S7 flagship will be available in 60 countries in the first wave of its global launch. Deal Alert: 32GB Galaxy Note 4 for $319.99 via eBay

Image
The Galaxy Note 4 may not be Samsung’s latest handset, but it’s still a very capable smartphone worth looking into if you can grab it at a good price. Fortunately then, you can currently purchase a 32GB model from Quickshipelectronics’ eBay store for just $319.99. Quite a bargain. The Galaxy Note 4 model on offer is the SM-N910 4G LTE version, which means that it is compatible with AT&T or Verizon networks. The seller is offering a choice of either black or white color options, and the handset also comes with an original USB cable, wall charger, and the S-Pen for making use of some of the Note 4’s more unique features. Despite its age, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 still packs in some beefy enough hardware specifications for a top-notch smartphone experience. The Note 4 features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with QHD (2560×1440) resolution, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC, combined with 3GB of RAM and a meaty 3,220mAh removable battery. While the established manufacturers got caught up in a race towards thin phones, battery capacities have suffered. Meanwhile, a clutch of lesser-known makers has realized there is untapped potential in this niche, and they've been coming out with monstrous battery capacities and attractive designs. Take Ulefone, for instance, the maker of the Ulefone Power. The phone packs a massive 6,050mAh Sony battery, over twice the iPhone 6s Plus battery capacity. The battery promises four days of normal use, 63 hours of talk time and 75 days of standby.

Vivo XPlay 5 spotted in a live shot

Image
The Vivo XPlay 5 has been frequenting the rumor mill for quite some time now, with speculations going as far back as 2014. Initially, the device was hailed as one of the supposed early adopters of the Snapdragon 810 chip. Obviously, that didn't happen, and Snapdragon 810 is no longer Qualcomm's greatest chip. However, we are still waiting on the handset, which impresses with a Snapdragon 820 SoC as well as 6GB of RAM - a world first. The aforementioned specs have already been confirmed by Vivo and the launch date set for March 1. There is even an impressive AnTuTu benchmark score already circulationg online, meaning that all we are left with is to wait for an actual glimpse of the device itself.
