HMD considers a 4G Nokia featurephone for India

HMD will not bring the 3G Nokia 3310 (2017) to India, saying that the local market lacks interest in 3G phones.

Yet, in an interview Ajey Mehta, Vice President of HMD Global for India divulged that HMD is considering making a 4G featurephone.

He referenced Reliance Jio's JioPhone, an affordable 4G featurephone that's making an impact on the market. The Finnish maker is one of the few remaining to do featurephones so it might have a go at the ultra-affordable market in the subcontinent if interest translates to actual sales.
