Report from Korea says Galaxy S8 and S8+ preorders will begin on April 10

We are already less than a month away from Samsung’s Unpacked event where the Korean Giant will announce two new smartphones to succeed the Galaxy S7: The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Each device is expected to sport a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch display, respectively.

According to The Investor, an industry source claims that the Galaxy S8 duo will allegedly be going up for pre-orders on April 10, which is a good halfway point between the March 29 announcement date and the rumored release date of April 21.

We could safely assume that both devices would become available for pre-order on the same day. What we don’t know is the ratio of S8 to S8+ models that Samsung is planning to have available for launch. Our educated guess is that the Galaxy S8 will be more popular than the S8+, but we won’t know for sure until we see which model sells out first.

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ will feature a near-bezel-less display and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. The S8 might have a 3,000 mAh battery while the S8+ is said to have a slightly larger 3,500 mAh battery. As previously leaked images confirm, the S8 will have a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and an Iris scanner.

Which device would you get? The S8 or S8+?
