Report suggests the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will have bigger batteries than the S7 duo
Samsung SDI will provide the batteries for
the Galaxy S8 and a new report suggests they will have larger capacities than
the S7 batteries.
The Galaxy S8 will have a 3,250mAh battery
and the Galaxy S8 Plus a 3,750mAh one according to the report. That’s up from
S7’s 3,000mAh and S7 edge’s 3,600mAh battery.
Those batteries will have to feed larger
screens - 5.8” and 6.2” according to the latest info - though the Snapdragon
835 is reportedly more battery efficient than the 820 chipset it replaces. The
rumor mill expects the Galaxy S8 duo to go on sale on April 21 for €800 and
€900 respectively.
