Samsung Galaxy Note8 screen protector reveals the display's curves
In today's Galaxy
Note8-related leak, a purported screen protector for the smartphone has been
photographed in the wild somewhere. If this is a real Note8 screen protector,
created based on Samsung's official schematics for the handset, then by taking
a peek at it we can basically learn what the shape of the phablet's screen is
going to be.
The rounded display
corners introduced with the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are here to stay, it seems. As
you'd expect, the screen's edges are curved, again like in the S8 duo. The
bezels are minimal throughout, so this panel will clearly be labeled Infinity
Display by Samsung too.
The top bezel is so
small that it looks like there's barely enough room over there for the selfie
camera, earpiece, and various sensors. The top and bottom bezels seem to be
symmetrical, which is very good news for those who suffer from OCD.
The source of this leak claims the Galaxy Note8
will be "sexy" and "more beautiful than the S8". And it
will obviously come with an S Pen stylus built-in.
According to one previous leak, the Note8
will arrive in late September, priced at €999. It should sport a 6.3-inch
18.5:9 AMOLED touchscreen, dual 12 MP rear cameras with OIS, and a fingerprint
scanner on the back.
It will be powered either by Qualcomm's
Snapdragon 835 or Samsung's own Exynos 8895, aided by 6GB of RAM. Storage is
expected to be 64 or 128GB. The battery will be a 3,300 mAh cell.
