LG V30 to come with glass back, wireless charging
LG could be
announcing the V30 at IFA in Berlin at the end of August, according to a report
from a couple of days ago. This corroborated an earlier rumor about the V30
being introduced during that month, and today we find out some more details
about it.
A well known
leakster says a source of his has revealed that the LG V30 will have wireless
charging support. That means the device will come with a glass back, unlike any
of its predecessors in the V series. On the other hand, the G6 has a glass back
too, so this might mean that LG is looking to unify the designs of its two
flagship smartphone lines, akin to what Samsung has been doing with its S and
Note branded handsets over the past two years or so.
The V30 will still
employ a dual rear camera setup like the V20 before it, but also like the G6.
More details about this aren't available at the moment, but we assume LG will
use its traditional pairing of one normal camera and one wide-angle unit once
more. The V30's fingerprint scanner will be on the back too, where it's been
for every LG device in quite a while - don't expect any iPhone 8-like
under-glass sensors here.
