Members of Sam’s Club can pre-order the latest flagship Galaxy S8 and get two sweet deals - either a Gear VR with Controller if the order is placed online before April 12 or receive a $150 gift card for orders paid between April 21 and April 30. Or if you want to have two Galaxy S8 devices, you can always get both.



Getting Samsung’s VR headset & controller can happen if you order on Sam’s Club website before the weekend of Easter and then you have to submit your receipt by May 14. Then in 6-8 weeks, Samsung will ship you the Gear VR. The deal also includes bonus Oculus content.


If you miss this one, on April 21 another Bonus offer starts - members of Sam’s Club get $150 gift card for free when the device picked up and activated in the dates mentioned above. If you are new to the warehouse retailer, you better do this in the first three days since there are no activation fees.

The deal published on the retailer’s website is available for members of Sam’s Club. It is available for Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint customers, but sadly, not T-Mobile.

Updated Google Contacts app makes it easier to get rid of duplicates

Google is pushing out an updated version of its contacts management app, bringing some of the features available in the web version to the Android app. The v 1.5 update reorganizes the user interface of Google Contacts. Instead of the two tabs – all and favorites – the app now just displays your entire contact list, with a sidebar menu available via the hamburger button on the left. Opening that up reveals a new section for managing duplicate contacts. That’s a feature that was present on the web app of Contacts , but the process was more convoluted on the Android app. You can now also add labels to your contacts, making it easy to organize large contact lists based on groups, for things like family, work, or school. LG showcases new rollable 65” OLED display

LG Display used CES 2018 in Las Vegas to officially unveil its new OLED displays - one of them being a 65-inch 4K flexible screen that can be rolled like a newspaper. The other is an 88” 8K OLED panel that we told you about last week. The flexibility of the 65” OLED display makes it easier to transport or store in the corner. Its small size allows for better space utilization, meaning you can take the TV anytime, anywhere and “enjoy bright, high-resolution content”. LG Display will also showcase its latest upgrades of the IPS technology.
