Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus 10 gets unofficial photoshoot, also spilling the specs beans

Exactly one year after the IFA-hosted launch of the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 and Tab 3 Pro, the Android-powered multimode slate lineup is most likely due for a hardware and software refresh at Berlin’s latest high-profile industrial exhibition.

Fortunately, this is shaping up to be a single piece of a much more complex puzzle, with new Lenovo and Moto-branded smartphones and smartwatches also teased for IFA 2016 announcements.

That’s especially fortunate because, as its name suggests, the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus 10 is hardly a “next big thing” type of gadget. High-quality leaked renders point to a marginally tweaked design, and very credible sources tell us to expect short of stellar specs.

For instance, a middling hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor, paired with “just” 3GB RAM. On the bright side, the display is as sharp as could be, at 2,560 x 1,600 pixels resolution, Android 6.0 Marshmallow should come pre-installed, USB Type-C connectivity is added to the mix, and the arguably unnecessary integrated projector leaves the equation.

The 9,300 mAh battery also sounds large… enough, even if it’s a tad smaller than the Tab 3 Pro’s cell, while a built-in kickstand again lets you use the tablet in Hold, Tilt, Stand, and Hang modes. Other respectable features include optional LTE speeds, 13 and 5MP cameras, 32GB internal storage, and JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos audio enhancements. All for the (relatively) low starting price of €350 ($395) on the old continent. Or so tipsters claim, official confirmation coming next week.
